Grandparents are not exempted from our coverage. I am a grandparent, and my lovely 6-year-old granddaughter, Azariah, often asks during bedtime, “One more story please?” As a matter of fact, that’s where the inspiration to write children stories came from. Sandra Ballantyne
Sandra Ballantyne is an author of several children books, Ziya’s New Shoes and Sweetie Cho Grandma, as well as two other affirmation books: Overcoming Bullying and Your Preferred Place. She is from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. At an early age she was always referred to as the child who always had her nose in a book. She loves children and believes that every child is precious. She is fighting passionately for children rights with her pen as a weapon against bullying
By writing uplifting affirmations to build them up, as she believes that every child deserves to have a childhood full of laughter, letting their voices be heard, and to live peacefully without bullying. Her inspiration for writing children books became a reality when she started to make up stories for her Granddaughter Azariah, as she always asked for one more at bedtime. Sandra believes in positivity and speaking uplifting affirmation over her life and her family. She enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with friends and family. She resides in Queens, New York.
